I have passed the classroom portion and I need to schedule my Handgun Proficiency/Qualification.
Get your Texas License to Carry (LTC) Online
Step 1:
Take and pass the required classroom portion ONLINE for $49.00, and at your own pace.
Step 2:
Schedule and pass the required In-person Handgun Shooting Proficiency/Qualification portion of the course (If scheduled through Patriot Quartermaster LLC, the price is $50.00)
Step 3:
Apply for your Texas License to Carry online thru the Texas DPS Website:
· Complete and submit your application online to Texas DPS and pay the $40.00 Application Fee
· Get Fingerprinted $10.00 and Pass the State Background Check
· Submit Certificates of Completion (Course and Handgun Qualification to Texas DPS.
Once all Steps have been completed, your Texas License to Carry should be issued within 60 days of Texas DPS receiving your completed application, all supporting documents and fingerprints.
***NOTE: This course (including the in-person Handgun Shooting Proficiency/Qualification portion) is NOT a class to teach students how to shoot and/or safely handle a firearm. Applicants are expected to know and adhere to all basic firearm safety rules before signing up.
